Tupa Family Home – Liahona, Tonga - In construction - Feb 2026

This unique and special project for the beautiful Tupa family home was designed to create a functional and comfortable living environment tailored to the client's lifestyle and budget in Liahona, Tonga. The design incorporated site-specific building orientation and design reference to their Japanese home with a genken at the entry and rear paying homage to the family's Japanese influence in their Tongan family home.

Project highlights include:

  • Japanese Genken Entry with split entry levels and bespoke cabinetry for shoes and sotrage

  • Open-plan living and dining

  • Functional family layout with separate bedroom wing

  • Indoor-outdoor connection

  • Durable materials suited to local conditions

  • Efficient use of space and natural light
